2 Minnesota Teens Have Died Following Wisconsin Crash

(Learfield News/DeForest, WI) — Two west-central Minnesota teens have died following a head-on crash in Wisconsin.

Authorities say 19-year-old Brady Heiling of Clara City passed away Friday after nearly a week in critical care. His passenger, 18-year-old Hallie Helgeson of Montevideo, died shortly after the July 20th crash on I-90 near DeForest.

Officers say their vehicle was struck by a wrong-way driver.

Both teens were recent high school graduates and multi-sport athletes.

A scholarship fund has been created in Helgeson’s memory.
