YME Bond Referendum Approved by Voters
Voters in the Yellow Medicine East School District approved a $74.3 million bond in a special referendum vote on Tuesday.
Unofficial results show voters supported building new facilities with 1,319 “yes” votes to 548 “no” votes.
The district will now move forward with plans to build a new high school/middle school, a new elementary building to replace the Bert Raney Elementary, as well as other facility upgrades.
