Gopher Football Continues Fall Camp

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Golden Gopher football team held a closed practice last night at Huntington Bank Stadium exactly two weeks from their season opener. Head coach P-J Fleck says he wanted to get the team a look at what the stadium looks like at night and get his players a feel for playing at night. Minnesota opens the season on Thursday, August 28th at home against Buffalo. Gopher offensive lineman Greg Johnson of Prior Lake will enter his second season of starting up front, but he has moved from center to guard. He says he will play wherever the coaches think it will help the team the most. Johnson also says playing center last year helped his overall game. Minnesota finished 8-5 last year, including a bowl win over Virginia Tech. Here is the 2025 University of Minnesota football schedule:
