APPLICATIONS BEING ACCEPTED FOR FARM TO SCHOOL FOOD PROGRAMS

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is accepting applications from schools, early childhood education centers, and licensed in-home family child care providers looking to serve locally  produced foods.  This year, the Ag Department is expected to award about $1.3-million through the fiscal year 2026.  Some of the money will be split with the state’s Local Tots Cost-Share program.  Applications must be received by October 23rd to be considered.  Officials say this program is a win-win for both the schools and Minnesota farmers.
