Gophers Beat Buffalo In Opener
(Minnesota News Network- Minneapolis, MN) — Drake Lindsey, in his first collegiate start, led the Gophers to a 23-10 victory over Buffalo on Thursday night at Huntington Bank Stadium. Lindsey was 19-for-35 for 290 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. Gopher running back Darius Taylor ran for 141 yards on the ground. But it was Lindsey hitting Jalen Smith for a 60 yard connection to seal the win in the fourth quarter to finish off the scoring. The Gophers host Northwestern State at 11 A-M next Saturday, September 6th, as the non-conference schedule continues.
