Shop 1 Supervisor: Welding & Industrial Coatings

Primary Responsibilities

This position would be responsible for leading the team with the following areas of focus:

1. Production Management w/ Dust Collector Products: Steel fabrication, paint ordering and packaging. Ensure units are built according to print and on schedule. Maintain parts inventory to meet deadlines.
2. Blast and Paint departments; ensure company procedures are followed, inspect for quality control.
3. Packaging and Shipping: Oversee that all handling of material and packaging is done according to Company protocol. Verify that product ships according to schedule.
4. Forward thinking: seeing issues or safety concerns before they happen. Comfortable with being able to retrain employees when Company policy is not followed.
5. Ensure that Company safety procedures and guidelines are practiced in all areas of the shop.
6. Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.
7. Determining job schedule for the day for the employees of Shop 1.
8. Being on hand to recognize when assistance is needed.
9. Training machines and skills when needed.
10. Assisting with job completion.

Education and Work Experience

1. High School Diploma or GED required
2. Minimum of 2 Years of Experience in welding or industrial painting.* Any equivalent combination of education and work experience that provides the required skills and knowledge will be considered.
3. Minimum 2 years of experience in management or supervisory role.

Job Requirements

1. Must be able to wear a respirator, pass a Respirator Test, pass a physical exam and drug test.
2. Skill/welding test required.
3. Able to lift 50 lbs. comfortably.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical ability

Wage is based off experience.
