TWO HURT IN HEAD-ON COLLISION NEAR LAKE CRYSTAL
The state patrol was called to a head-on collision between a Honda Pilot and a Chevrolet Suburban Thursday morning at 7:45 on Blue Earth County Road 9 and 515th Avenue near Lake Crystal. The Honda was driven by 59-year-old German Anibal Ortega and the Suburban was driven by 44-year-old Deisy De Leon Esqueda of rural Lake Crystal. Ortega was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Esqueda was airlifted from the scene with non-life threatening injuries. Witnesses told authorities that the Honda Pilot cross the centerline prior to the crash. Lake Crystal Fire and ambulance and Mayo Clinic Air ambulance assisted at the scene.
