ELDERLY WOMAN DIES IN ST. PETER HOUSE FIRE

An early Tuesday morning house fire has claimed the life of an elderly St. Peter woman.  Police Chief Matt Grochow says the fire took place inside a townhome in the Pratt Circle neighborhood around 3 am and appears to be accidental.  The woman’s body was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office for identification and investigation purposes.  Grochow says there is believed to be no threat to the public.  Damage to the home is believed to be extensive.  The investigation is continuing.
