MANKATO POLICE INVESTIGATING INFANT DEATH

Authorities are investigating the death of an infant in Mankato Wednesday.  Emergency responders were called to a home on the 500 block of James Avenue just before 4 pm for the report of an infant not breathing.  Crews did CPR and the infant was taken by Mayo ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato where they were later pronounced dead.  The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is helping with the investigation.
