Twins sweep White Sox
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins hit five solo home runs in a 6-3 win over the Chicago White Sox at Target Field yesterday. The victory completed a four-game series sweep for Minnesota, which improved to 11-13 on the season. Second baseman Eddie Julien cracked a pair of solo shots, while Ryan Jeffers, Carlos Santana, and Jose Miranda also went deep with the bases empty. Willi Castro drove home the other Twins run, giving Minnesota a 3-2 lead in the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. Simeon Woods Richardson worked five solid innings and Cole Sands earned his first Major League win in relief. Griffin Jax picked up his fourth save of the season. The 3-22 White Sox have dropped seven straight games and 13 of their past 14. The Twins open a three-game series in Anaheim tonight, facing the Angels at 8:38 P-M.
