Vikings wrap NFL Draft
(Eagan, MN) — The Minnesota Vikings wrapped up the N-F-L Draft by picking five players in day three on Saturday. The Vikings added Oregon cornerback Khyree Jackson, Oklahoma tackle Walter Rouse, Alabama kicker Will Reichard, Wake Forest guard Michael Jurgens, and Texas A&M-Commerce defensive tackle Levi Drake Rodriguez. Minnesota also signed 17 undrafted free agents, including U-C-L-A edge rusher Gabriel Murphy and Arkansas cornerback Dwight McGlothern.
(Detroit, MI) — Detroit shattered the record for attendance at the N-F-L Draft this weekend. The city brought in 775-thousand fans for the event, and Mayor Mike Duggan says it was unexpected to see that many people. Duggan added he had never heard so many people from the Detroit suburbs referring to “we” for the entire city. He called it a spectacular team effort to make sure things came together smoothly.
