$42-Million Montevideo School Bond Referendum Passes

Voters in the Montevideo School District approved a $42 million bond referendum for buildings Tuesday (Feb. 10, 2026).

Unofficial results show the referendum passed with 1212 (57%) yes votes and 919 (43%) no votes.

School officials say the funds will be used to address significant facility issues in the high school building; modernize security in the high school, middle school, and Sanford and Ramsey elementary schools; and construct a performing arts center at the high school.
