Jeannette Lee (Oldenburg) Miller

Jeannette Lee (Oldenburg) Miller, age 79, of Belle Plaine, passed away Tuesday, February 10,
2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Shakopee. A funeral service for Jeannette will be held Monday,
February 16, 2026, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine at 11 a.m. with Pastor
Daniel Slaughter presiding. Visitation will be 3-6pm Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Kolden Funeral
Home in Belle Plaine, as well as one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will occur
after the service at Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine.
Jeannette was born on March 12, 1946, to Marvin and Myrtle (Pool) Oldenburg, in Minneapolis.
She was raised near Fish Lake on the family farm and graduated from Jordan High School. After
high school, she married Julian Miller on October 10, 1964, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in
Jordan. They built a life farming, and raised four children: Julie Ann, Jackie, JoAnna, and Jesse.
Jeanette will be remembered for her perennial gardens and her cooking. In her free time, she
liked to read books, play cards, and travel. Jeanette liked to spend her time at the cabin fishing
and going on pontoon rides on Sauk Lake. Jeannette and Julian spent their winters in Arizona.
Jeanette is survived by husband, Julian; siblings Dale (Mary) Oldenburg and Bonnie (Roger)
Grapper, children Julie Ann (John) Kalal, Jackie Hernandez, JoAnna (Joey) Fahey, Jesse (Kati)
Miller; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Myrtle (Pool) Oldenburg; twin sister Jeanne
