Section Team Wrestling

Section team wrestling finished on Saturday afternoon in Sections 3AA and 5A.  In Section 3AA, Team United fell in the semi-finals to New Ulm 64-12.  New Ulm advanced to the State Wrestling Tournament, defeating Marshall in the championship match, 31-23.

In Section 5A, Saturday’s matches had Minneota meeting Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg and Canby squaring off against Paynesville Area in the semi-finals.  Minneota and Paynesville Area won the semi-final matches, and in the championship, Minneota triumphed 47-17.

Section individual tournaments are scheduled for  this coming week.
