New Ulm Man Facing Felony Charges After Incident in Essig
A New Ulm man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly strangling a victim and firing a shotgun during an altercation on February 10.
Twenty-two-year-old Bryce Flitter has been charged with three counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, one count of domestic assault by strangulation and two counts of intentional discharge of a firearm endangering safety.
The criminal complaint says Brown County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a home on East Ballpark Street in Essig for the report of a fight and gunshots. Flitter then fled the scene but was later taken into custody without incident.
The incident allegedly started in a bar in Sleepy Eye and made its way to the residence in Essig where Flitter allegedly pointed a shotgun at a victim, who was able to grab the barrel and rip it away from Flitter.
