REDWOOD COUNTY SELLING BRIDGE FOR A DOLLAR

The Redwood County Highway Department is selling a steel truss bridge for a dollar.  The Gold Mine Bridge carries the gravel Redwood County State Aid Highway 17/Renville County State Aid Highway 21 over the Minnesota River in Delhi Township.  The 191-foot-long by 15.7-foot-wide bridge is being replaced.  The county is hoping the bridge can be used in a park, trail system or similar setting.  It was closed to all vehicular traffic in May 2023.  The new owner must pay for moving the bridge and constructing a new deck and substructures in its new location.  Redwood County is accepting Letters of Interest until December 1.  If you want to know more, call County Engineer Nick Klisch at 507-637-4056.
