Willmar Clinic Damaged by Fire

(Learfield News/Willmar, MN) — An electric space heater is blamed for a fire that damaged part of the CentraCare Clinic in Willmar.

Battalion Chief Jeff Gilbertson says crews arrived Friday night to find heavy black smoke coming from several offices and an exam room.

The building’s sprinkler system helped contain the flames to part of that room, and firefighters quickly extinguished the remaining fire.

Crews then ventilated the clinic and assisted with cleaning up water left behind by the sprinklers.

The building and its contents sustained fire, smoke, and water damage.

No injuries were reported.
