Division II Men’s And Women’s Tourney Field Announced

(Undated/Minnesota News Network) — There are five Minnesota-based basketball teams set to take part in the 2026 N-C-A-A Division II National Championship Tournament. St. Cloud State and Minnesota-Duluth will be competing in the men’s bracket, while Minnesota-Duluth, Minnesota State-Mankato and Concordia-St. Paul are in the women’s field. The 21-11 U-M-D men will take on 31-1 Washburn (KS) on Saturday in Topeka, while the 25-6 Huskies of St. Cloud State will face 21-11 Missouri Western on Saturday in Topeka. Tip times are yet to be announced. On the women’s side, Minnesota-Duluth will face Minnesota State-Mankato in the opening round on Saturday at 4 P-M in Mankato. The Mavericks are 29-2, while the Bulldogs are 20-8. Concordia-St. Paul takes on Northwestern Oklahoma on Saturday at 2:30 P-M in Mankato. The Golden Bears are 24-6, while the Lady Rangers are 22-9. The winners in all four of these games advance to Saturday’s regional second round.
