Fatal Meeker County Crash

One driver died in a head-on crash in Meeker County early Saturday morning on the north side of Litchfield.

The State Patrol says 22-year-old Eben Laidlaw of Grove City was taken to Meeker Memorial Hospital but died from his injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the other vehicle, 22-year-old Joseph Johnson of Litchfield, was taken to Meeker Memorial for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. It’s unknown if he was wearing a seat belt.

The crash happened on Highway 24 at 620th Avenue at about 1:45am.

The investigation continues.
