One Injured in Stearns County Crash

One driver was injured in a rear-end crash in Stearns County Monday morning south of Richmond.

The Sheriff’s Office says 24-year-old Luke Haan of Eden Valley had to be extricated from his vehicle but was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Authorities say Haan was driving a Chevy Express Van eastbound on County Road 49 when it collided with a box truck driven by 24-year-old Nayeli Cruz Pabon of Clara City. She was not injured.

The preliminary investigation indicates that Cruz Pabon had stopped on the side of County Road 49 to drop off trash cans at a residence when her vehicle was struck by the van.

The crash happened at about 7:30am.
