It is an honor and privilege to serve as County Attorney and I thank the citizens of McLeod County for the opportunity to continue to serve in this important capacity. As County Attorney, I am committed to public safety and ensuring that people who commit crimes are brought to justice and held accountable for their actions. As a proud third-generation resident of McLeod County, living here with my wife and three daughters, I have every reason to strive to keep McLeod County a safe place.

I proudly partner with our area law enforcement agencies to prevent and investigate crime in McLeod County. My Office has enhanced communication and collaboration with area law enforcement agencies in recent years. We offer free peace officer training courses to area agencies and participate as part of a multidisciplinary team in cases involving suspected child abuse.

My Office works hard to make a difference, both inside the courtroom and out in our community. We help people affected by crime, families in need, businesses within the county, and students in our local schools. We provide legal advice and representation to McLeod County, we protect taxpayers’ resources in court, and we combat fraud through prevention and prosecution efforts. Simply put, we serve the people of McLeod County.

My Office has continued to develop and utilize proactive crime prevention initiatives and community education programs to address challenges in our communities. Some of these initiatives include: the Prioritizing Prosecutions in Schools program, the establishment of a Victim/Witness Coordinator position within the County Attorney’s Office, the development of a Truancy Intervention Program, and the ongoing efforts to establish a Veterans Treatment Court for veterans residing in McLeod County.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your McLeod County Attorney.
