Wright County Deputy Announces Run for Sheriff

Wright County, MN — Wright County Deputy Rob Mossman has announced his candidacy for Wright County Sheriff.

In a statement, Mossman says he brings more than 22 years of law enforcement experience and a campaign focused on safe communities, responsible spending, and strengthening trust between law enforcement and residents.

Mossman, a Wright County resident since 1992, lives in Monticello Township where he has built his life, raised his family, and served the community for more than two decades.

“This isn’t just where I work — this is home,” Mossman said. “I am running for Sheriff because I believe we can continue to keep Wright County safe while improving efficiency, accountability, and transparency.”

Current Sheriff Sean Derringer announced in January that he will not be running for a third term as sheriff.
