Joe Ryan tossed five innings for the 7-3 win over the Tigers
Twins win 7-3 win over the Tigers on a cold Monday night at Target Field. Byron Buxton broke an 0-for-20 with a leadoff double that sparked a three-run third inning, and Luke Keaschall walked twice and hit his first homer of the year to give the Twins the lead for good.
Joe Ryan (1-1) tossed five innings for the win, looking good for the first three before grinding through the last two. The Twins bullpen took it from there, dodging trouble but securing a needed home win.
Twins (4-6) will play Detroit (4-6) again on Tuesday with first pitch at 6:40 p.m. pregame at 6:00 p.m. on KMRS 1230 AM and 107.7 FM
