Twins Win Second Straight
Minnesota Twins pitcher Taj Bradley was brilliant in a 4-2 win over Detroit last night at Target Field. The right-hander worked six-and-a-third-innings of six-hit, one-run baseball, striking out ten Tigers and walking no one. He got all the offense he needed when Minnesota scored four times in the fifth inning off of Detroit ace lefty Tarik Skubal. The two-time reigning American League Cy Young Award winner was chased in the fifth inning and took the loss. He allowed four runs on eight hits. Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers cracked a two-run double to give his team the lead in the fifth. Second baseball Luke Keaschall and designated hitter Josh Bell drove home the other two runs in that inning. The Twins improved to 5-6 on the season, pushing them into a tie for second place in the A-L Central, a game-and-a-half behind the Cleveland Guardians. Game three of the four-game series is tonight at Target Field at 6:40 P-M. Coverage begins at 6pm on KNUJ and SAM 107.3.
