One Dead in Hwy 212 Wrong Way Crash

One driver died in a wrong way crash on Highway 212 in Eden Prairie Saturday night.

The State Patrol says 69-year-old Bohdan Antoniuk of Hopkins died as a result of injuries he sustained.

Antoniuk was driving a car westbound on Highway 212 when a pickup traveling the wrong way collided head-on with his car.

The driver of the pickup, 50-year-old Amanda Merriman of Victoria, was taken to HCMC for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The Patrol says alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash.

The crash happened just before 8pm.
