Lynx invite a former Gopher to Training Camp
(Minneapolis, MN/Learfield News) — Former Golden Gohper women’s basketball star Amaya Battle of Hopkins has been invited to take part in training camp with the Minnesota Lynx. Battle went undrafted in this week’s W-N-B-A Draft after earning third-team all-Big Ten honors and helping the Gophers to a Sweet 16 appearance. She hit the game-winning shot against Ole Miss to send Minnesota into the tournament’s second weekend. Meanwhile, the Lynx will officially introduce first round pick Oliva Miles at a news conference today in Minneapolis. The Lynx open training camp next week and will have their first preseason game of the year on April 25th at Washington. The regular begins on May 10th against Atlanta.
