Wild fall in Game 2 to Dallas
(Dallas, TX/Learfield News) — Minnesota defenseman Brock Faber scored twice but it was in a losing cause as the Wild fell to the Stars 4-2 in Game Two of their best-of-seven opening round series last night in Dallas. The series is now even at a game each. Stars’ player Wyatt Johnston scored the first and last goals of the game as Jake Oettinger got the win on 29 saves. Wild rookie Jesper Wallstedt suffered his first postseason loss on 28 stops. The Wild were shorthanded as they found out prior to the game that forward Mats Zuccarello would be unavailable for Game Two and would miss with an upper body injury. Then Yakov Trenin was hit hard late in the first period by Colin Blackwell and left the ice bleeding. He too did not return. Zuccarello has three assists in Game One while Trenin had 13 hits. With the series even at 1-1, Game 3 is 8:30 P-M on Wednesday night at Grand Casino Arena.
