Wolves tie up series with Denver
(Denver, CO/Learfield News) — The Minnesota Timberwolves rallied from a 19-point second quarter deficit to beat the Nuggets in Denver and even the best-of-seven opening round N-B-A playoff series at a game apiece. The final score was 119-114. Wolves star Anthony Edwards scored 30 points and grabbed ten rebounds to lead the way. Minnesota forward Julius Randle added 24 points. Denver’s Jamal Murray netted 30 points, while teammate Nikola Jokic scored 25 points and had 15 boards. The teams “traded” scores in the first two quarters, with Denver leading after one period 39-24. The Timberwolves then outscored the Nuggets by the same count in the second quarter to get to a tie game for the second straight game at halftime. The Wolves trailed by three points to start the fourth and held their composure to notch the win. Minnesota outrebounded Denver 60-54. Game Three will be on Thursday night in Minneapolis at 8:30 P-M.
