Norman Selected as Ridgewater College President

The Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities announced Cheryl Norman as its selection for the next president of Ridgewater College.

According to a news release, Norman is currently working in the Minnesota State system, serving as the vice president of academic and student affairs at Central Lakes College in Brainerd and Staples.

Norman will begin her work as president of Ridgewater on July 1, 2026.

Her selection as president marks the end of a search which began late last year.

Current Ridgewater President Craig Johnson announced he would be retiring on May 19, 2026.

Johnson has served as president of Ridgewater College since 2018.

Ridgewater has campuses in Willmar and Hutchinson.
