2nd longest game in Franchise history ends in loss

(St. Paul, MN/Learfield News) — Dallas forward Wyatt Johnston tipped home the game-winner as the Stars outlasted the Minnesota Wild 4-3 in double overtime in Game Three last night in St. Paul. Minnesota was down 2-0 in the first before stringing together three straight goals from Marcus Johansson, Joel Eriksson Ek and Michael McCarron to take a 3-2 lead into the third period. But the Stars pulled even at 3-3 on a Matt Duchesne goal in the third and then beat the Wild in double overtime to take a 2-1 series lead. Jesper Wallstedt suffered the loss on 32-save in the second longest game in franchise history. Game Four is Saturday afternoon at Grand Casino Arena with a 4:30 P-M puck drop. The N-H-L also announced that Game Five will be at 7 P-M on Tuesday night from Dallas.
