Vikings wrap up Draft
(Eagan, MN/Learfield News) — The Minnesota Vikings have finalized their 2026 draft class. The Purple picked Cincinnati linebacker Jake Golday in the second round on Friday before selecting Iowa State defensive tackle Domonique Orange, Northwestern offensive tackle Caleb Tiernan, and Miami safety Jakobe Thomas in the third. Minnesota rounded out the draft by taking four more players on Saturday, including Michigan fullback Max Bredeson, Stephen F. Austin cornerback Charles Demmings, Wake Forest running back Demond Claiborne, and Cincinnati center Gavin Gerhardt. The Vikings’ first-round pick was Florida defensive tackle Caleb Banks, who was selected on Thursday night.
The Minnesota Vikings have parted ways with one of their top defensive players. The team traded Jonathan Greenard to the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday. Minnesota received Philadelphia’s 98th overall pick on Friday and a third-round pick in next year’s draft. Greenard spent the last two years with the Purple. He had three sacks and 38 tackles in 12 games last season.
