Twins bring out the bats vs Seattle
(Minneapolis, MN/Learfield News) — The Minnesota Twins snapped a five-game losing streak with an 11-4 win over Seattle at Target Field last night. Twins first baseman Kody Clemens led a big night for the offense, going 2-for-5 with a three-run homer and a two-run single. Centerfielder Byron Buxton also belted a two-run homer in the victory. Catcher Ryan Jeffers added two R-B-I to an offense that cranked out a dozen hits. Rookie lefty Connor Prielipp worked five innings of one-hit, two-run ball to collect his first big league win. He fanned five and walked two. Minnesota improved to 13-16 overall, while Seattle dipped to 14-16. The M’s got a two-run homer from D-H Cal Raleigh. Game two of the three-game series is tonight at Target Field, starting at 6:40 P-M.
