BROWN COUNTY BURNING RESTRICTIONS

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office and county fire chiefs have issued burning restrictions for all of the county today (Friday).   No open burning of CRP Land and/or ditches or brush piles is permitted in the county.  The DNR Fire Danger map has Brown County in a “Near Critical Fire Weather Condition.”  Mix in steady winds at 20 miles per hour and wind gusts up to 35 miles per hour and a dry day means that any fire has the potential to spread quickly.
