Eleanor Pochardt, age 101 of Morris, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026, surrounded by family at The Legacy Senior Assisted Living in Morris, MN.

Visitation for Eleanor Pochardt will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, MN,

Funeral services for Eleanor Goldie Pochardt will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, MN, with Pastor Matthew Orendorff officiating.

Burial will take place following the service in the Summit Cemetery in Morris, MN.

Eleanor Goldie Pochardt, daughter of Andrew and Amanda (Cin) Anderson, was born in October of 1924 in Donnelly, Minnesota. She grew up in Donnelly and Morris and graduated from Alberta High School. On January 1, 1943, she married Ludwig “Sarge” Pochardt whom she met while dancing at the Donnelly Dance Hall. She enjoyed canning, flowers, going to bingo, auctions, and casinos, but she especially enjoyed dancing where she could often be found at the Lakeside Ballroom in Glenwood on Saturday nights. She was a regular volunteer with the census worked and volunteered at the elections. Goulash was her version of fast-food and more recently she really enjoyed McDonald’s hamburgers with pickles. She was known to her nieces and nephews as “Ellie”.

Eleanor is survived by her children: Jack (Barb) Pochardt, Deb (Gary) Hanson, and Don (Cori) Pochardt; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous special nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Andrew and Amanda; her husband: Ludwig “Sarge”; son and daughter-in-law: Robert and Julie Pochardt; six brothers and two sisters.
