TIGER SOFTBALL WINS 14-4 OVER BOLD (6)
Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta is now (11-2) not only winning their eleventh game this year, the softball team has 700 victories under the only coach the softball team has had, Mary Holmberg since 1980 when softball was added.
The game today against BOLD had the Tigers jumping out to a 9-0 lead before BOLD picked up 4 runs and the Tigers had 5 more in the sixth inning ending the game due to the 10 run rule.
Hot bats for Tigers: Aina Rose goes 4 for 4, she also had 2 RBI’s, scored twice, and also walked. Harmony Cloverdale went 3 for 5, she had 3 RBI’s, and scored 3 times. Sam Konz went 2 for 5 and picked up 5 RBI’s.
Nora Boyle started pitching for the Tigers she went five innings gave up four runs before Haley Kill came in to wrap up the game.
Tigers will be at home on Thursday, May 7th and will take on Melrose (12-3) First Pitch at 5:00 p.m. at Holmberg Field
