Meeker County Dump Truck Crash

The driver of a dump truck that crashed in Meeker County Wednesday morning suffered only minor injuries but the truck was a total loss after it caught fire.

The Sheriff’s Office says 69-year-old Rickie Harrier of Hutchinson got out of the truck before it became fully engulfed. Harrier received minor injuries and refused transport to the hospital.

Deputies learned the driver drifted onto the shoulder, then over corrected, causing the truck to go into the ditch.

The crash happened on 205th Street south of Litchfield just before 11:30am.
