Twins claim series in Cleveland
(Minneapolis, MN/Learfield News) — The Minnesota Twins held on to beat the Cleveland Guardians yesterday 5-4, claiming two of three in the series. A four-run fifth inning keyed the Minnesota victory, with Brooks Lee, Royce Lewis, Josh Bell and Austin Martin all driving home single runs in the frame. First baseman Kody Clemens had a three-hit day and drove home the team’s first run. Kendry Rojas worked three-and-a-third-innings of relief to earn his first Major League win. The 18-23 Twins remain in fifth-place in the American League Central Division, but sitting only two-and-a-half-games behind first-place the 21-2 Guardians. Minnesota is off tonight and will open a three-game home interleague series with Miami tomorrow night at 6:40 P-M.
