Wild now down 3-1 in the Series vs Colorado

(St. Paul, MN/Learfield News) — Colorado’s Parker Kelly scored the go-ahead goal in the third period as the Avalanche skated past the Minnesota Wild 5-2 in Game Four last night, taking a 3-1 series lead. Danilla Yurov scored the first goal of the hockey game on the power play, and Nico Sturm tied the game at 2-2 midway through the third period. But Kelly’s goal, just 2:17 after Sturm tied it, proved to be the winner as Colorado pushed Minnesota to the brink of elimination. Nathan MacKinnon and Brock Nelson each scored into empty nets to seal the victory. Jesper Wallstedt made 29 saves to suffer the loss while Mackenzie Blackwood, making his first start of the playoffs, made 19 saves in the victory. Game Five is tomorrow night at 7 P-M at Ball Arena.
