Fatal McLeod County Crash

One person died in a crash involving a semi and a pickup truck in McLeod County Wednesday afternoon east of Glencoe.

The State Patrol says the person that died, an 85-year-old Hutchinson woman, was a passenger in the pickup. Her name has not been released. The driver of the pickup, 63-year-old Cynthia Schweiss of Hutchinson, was taken to HCMC for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi, 23-year-old Mahmut Lacin of Centerville, Ohio, was taken to Glencoe Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened on Highway 212 at Dairy Avenue just after 2pm.
