Renville County Bridge Closed Due to Safety Concerns

OLIVIA, MN – Renville County Public Works has announced the immediate closure of the bridge on County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 2 over Beaver Creek.

The closure is effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice pending the outcome of an additional structural engineering review.

Officials say the closure was necessitated by structural deficiencies identified during a routine safety inspection.

Out of an abundance of caution and in the interest of public safety, officials say the bridge has been closed to all traffic—including vehicles, pedestrians, and farm equipment—until a thorough structural review can be completed.

Motorists and agricultural operators are advised to use alternate routes and should plan accordingly.

Replacement is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2026 and will be completed in the summer of 2027.
