39th Annual Take a Kid Fishing Event

Over 40 kids participated in KDMA/KMGM’s 39th annual Take a Kid Fishing event on a picture perfect Saturday at Volden’s Pit near Watson.

Every child who participated in the free event received a new rod and reel courtesy of the Lac qui Parle Lake Association.  Subway provided lunch for everyone, Runnings provided the bait and Korthius Jewelry donated the trophies.  Other area businesses that generously supported the event were Culligan Water, Monte Co-op Credit Union, Madison Bottling, Monte Candy, Cenex, Anderson-Tebeest Funeral Home, Olsen Plumbing & Heating, Swenson Repair and Old National Bank.  To all our partners, thank you!
