BLUE EARTH COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE NEEDS HELP IN ID’ING PERSON CONNECTED TO FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY AT AREA BANKS
The Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in identifying a person connected to alleged fraudulent activity at local banks. Authorities say that between Thursday, May 7 and Wednesday, May 13 personal information of other people was presented at banks in five different jurisdictions in southern Minnesota – Hutchinson, St. Peter, Eagle Lake, Rochester and Waldorf. Funds were reportedly withdrawn out of existing home equity lines of credit. With an overall loss of funds reportedly exceeding $30,000.
