Here is the scorecard from Thursday.

Section Softball:

Champions were crowned on the softball diamond, the 2A champion for the second straight year is USC. The Rebels defeat Martin County West 3 to 1 and 7 to 1 to return and defend their title. The 3A champion will be the BOLD Warriors. BOLD wins a pair over Yellow Medicine East 2 to 1 and 8 to 1. The 2AA champion is LCWM. the Knights holds off Lesueur/Henderson 2 to 1. The 3AA champion is Jackson County Central. The Huskies defeat Pipestone 4 to 1. The 2AAA  champion for the second straight year is Mankato East. The Cougars defeat St Peter 5 to 2.

Section Baseball:

2A-Madelia defeats Loyola 8 to 4 and will play Sleepy Eye on Saturday. The Indians were a 4 to 3 winner over St Mary’s. Staying alive in the tournament, Cathedral was a 5 to 2 winner over Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey and Cleveland knocks out Springfield with an 8 to 5 win.

3A-Elimination games, Adrian/Ellsworth defeats LQPV 10 to 4 and RTR was a 9 to 5 winner over Yellow Medicine East.

2AA-Cannon Falls was a 6 to 5 winner over Randolph, Lesueur/Henderson edges Tri City United 3 to 2. The winners play Saturday. Elimination games, Waseca defeats Sibley East 2 to 1 and Maple River was a 7 to 4 winner over Triton.

3AA-Second round play, Montevideo defeats Morris Area 6 to 3, New London Spicer was a 4 to 3 winner over Paynesville, Fairmont ten runs Redwood Valley 11 to 1 and Windom defeats Luverne 4 to 2.
