Driver Injured After Hitting Cows on Road in Kandiyohi County

A driver was injured after hitting cows with his vehicle on a Kandiyohi County road and then hitting a tree and rolling Sunday night north of Lake Florida.

The Sheriff’s Office says the 22-year-old rural Pennock man was pinned inside the truck but was able to call 911.

Crews extricated him from the vehicle and he was taken to a hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries. His name has not been released.

The crash happened just before 11pm on County Road 29 near 13th Street NW.
