Twins comeback falls short
The Minnesota Twins are off today after a frustrating finish to their weekend series with Kansas City. The Royals beat the Twins 6-5 Sunday at Target Field, taking three out of four in the series. Minnesota trailed 6-1 before making it interesting with four runs in the eighth inning, including a three-run homer from Josh Bell. But the rally came up short, and the Twins dropped to 30-and-37 on the season. They’ll try to regroup Tuesday, when they open a road series against the Detroit Tigers.
