Minnesota’s PWHL team survives elimination
(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Professional Women’s Hockey team got goals from Maggie Flaherty and Denisa Krizova in the second period and beat Toronto 2-0 last night at the Xcel Energy Center. Goaltender Maggie Rooney didn’t allow a goal in notching the win. Both Rooney and Flaherty are former Minnesota-Duluth teammates and both are native Minnesotans. Flaherty is from Lakeville, while Rooney is from Andover. The win kept Minnesota’s season alive, as they best-of-five P-W-H-L semifinal series two-games-to-one. Game Four is set for tomorrow night at 7 P-M in St. Paul. If needed, Game Five would be at Toronto on Friday night.
