HECTOR MAN KILLED IN CRASH

A Hector man was killed in a collision between a Dodge Durango and a semi Friday afternoon.  The state patrol was called at 1:13 pm to Highway 212 between Bird Island and Hector.  The Dodge was driven by 33-year-old Blaine Minkel of Hector.  He was killed.  The semi was driven by 50-year-old Zackary Tewes of Rossie, Minnesota.  He was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.  Hector fire and Medical, Bird Island fire and medical, the Buffalo Lake fire department, Renville County Sheriff’s Office and Life Link 3 assisted at the scene.
