LITCHFIELD MAN LOSES LEG IN INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT

A Litchfield man lost his leg in an industrial accident at an egg production facility in Harvey Township Meeker County Wednesday.  The sheriff’s department says they were called around 10:30 and discovered 62-year-old Michael Redepenning of Litchfield had been accidently caught in a machine which severed his lower leg.  Mayo ambulance and rescue personnel stabilized Redepenning and then took him to Meeker County Hospital.  He was then airlifted to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.
