Harvey Alvin Jahn

Harvey Alvin Jahn, age 85, passed away on May 14, 2024, at his farm. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Sueur. Lunch to follow at St. Anne’s School.

Harvey was born on April 21, 1939, to Marvin and Adeline (Dietz) Jahn in Lanesburgh Township, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at Lanesburgh Lutheran Church. He graduated from New Prague High School in 1957. He married Karen Anderley on November 2, 1963.

He worked 40 plus years at Le Sueur Incorporated until his retirement. Harvey enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, fishing, camping, canoeing, tinkering, and repairing machines, attending auctions, spending time with his family and friends, and his winters in Arizona.

Harvey is survived by his children, Lori (Mike) Jost, Kristine (Dave) Weyl, and daughter-in-law, Lisa Jahn; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Travis Jr.) Berg and Emily (Tovi) Torio, Nathaniel and Matthew Weyl, and Jackson Jahn; siblings, Betty (Bob) Chard, Arline Sticha, and Velada (Tom) Keough.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of 50 years Karen; sons, Kevin and David; brother, Earl and infant brother.
