BIO Girl’s local 5K

BIO Girls Thief River Falls held their local Find Your Kind 5K run on Wednesday evening, May 22nd. The event had been postponed due to inclement weather the previous week. The participants and their mentors ran a 5K loop that started and ended at Hartz Park, and wound through the Greenwood Trails are area of Thief River Falls. A nice contingent of friends and family lined the route and the finish line to cheer on the girls.

According to the organizations website – BIO Girls is a self-esteem-building program serving girls grades 2 – 6. Our curriculum revolves around our four pillars: Mental Wellness, Healthy Relationships, Leadership and Kindness. BIO Girls is a preventive mental wellness program; with the mission of improving the self-esteem of adolescent girls.
